hahaha well, My cousin and I were out wheelin and we were coming back up a trail we just went down and there was a pretty big hole full of clay and my front end got buried almost all the way to the hood. So I called my dad to pull me out. He brought his 06 F-150 FX4 and I tied a chain from his tow hook to my tow hook on my brush gaurd which was just welded to the frame (bought it used and it didnt come with brackets) and I guess my uncle did a tack weld to my bumper that I didnt know about. Anyways when my dad gave a little tug it just popped off hahaha. I didnt even know it happened until my cousin yelled "stop". Oh well Good times

rear bumper brackets.
Nice to see guys building there own stuff. The other guys are right though, you don't want to run a 4Runner with no rear bumper. With the trucks you at least hjave the rollpan to screw up, but with the 4Runners, thats your tailgate and window riding low.
Free is always better, but if you find yourself having trouble building stout brackets for the rear bumper, Padgett Fabrication, LLC builds and sell them (and builds complete bumpers too).
Take care, and have fun.... just remember, safety first

Brackets...
(Padgett Fabrication, LLC builds mainly Rear bumpers, but we also build front bumpers, roof-racks, trailers, small shop equipment such as presses and brakes, and basically anything thats built from steel. Padgett Fabrication, LLC is operated by Anthony and Samantha Padgett, and both are Honorably Discharged veterans)

yea man seriously. My old bench seat is way beyond shot. I replaced my tranny with one from an 85 and the shifters are 3 inches back farther than and my stock tranny. So I had to cut a big hunk out my seat bc it was causing the 4wd shifter to pop into N. And it looks awefull haha

$350 for the tranny and t-case was the best deal i could find around here. My shifter was locked up in reverse in the old one. I wish I would have checked the clutch fluid before I pulled the tranny bc a couple weeks ago my tranny wouldnt shift and found out the container was completly empty. I bet my that was the reason the old tranny wouldnt shift. but o well.
