Thanks chef.

My locker is the next thing. With some lifter springs. An fix my spring perch where the bump stop broke off.

I have been thinking a lot about doing a a torsion bar delete with coil overs.

But I need to do the locker soon I think my diff is going out. About half way to salt lake city she started humming pretty good. At least that's where I think its coming from without a lift to drive her in the air its hard to pin point where. But when I stopped for gas once I crawled under an checked the temp of the diff an there was some hot spots.

EEK! lol. Yeah, I HATE that hummmmmmmm.... it SO leaves me with that "will I make it where I'm going?... AND THEN BACK???" FEELING! LOL. You're sure it's breathing properly? I know, not likely the issue... but sure wouldn't hurt to get a lil more out of it IF it is a problem, ya know?

Sorry to hear.. And YES, I want to see you do this coilover swap! I HATE the limiting factor of the T-bars... Come to think of it, also of the A-arms, and bumps stops, and angles of CV's therein... Oh forget it! lol. JK, you know what I mean.

Can't wait to see if you do that, man!

Thanks 85toyman. Some cool dude told me where I could find one. And I love the tire carrier as well. I'm not so worried about losing my spare tire again. Lost my last one on I70 somewhere I think.

Yeah chef I have all the stuff to put the locker in but not the time right now. Picked some old man emu springs for 50 smacks from Jim. I just have to find the time.
If only I wouldn't get in trouble for working on it during work hours. Not like I have any real work I could be doing at work anyways. Soon though. I wanna go to the Colorado jambaree thing yotatech is doing in July.

Yeah exactly. I was a 3.0 auto and I am putting a 22r and w56 in it. I want a 3rz bad but I can't afford one. I haven't been down to Jim's in forever haha. Travis from the Yota Yard is in my wheelin club so we get the discount down there.

As much as a dog as the 3vz is its better then a 22r. Maybe a 22re with a cam and header. Still under powered. Just get a 5vz. You cam pick them up pretty cheap now. I'm not sure what ur hard on is with carburetors but I think it may be a little unnatural.

Yeah. I didn't get a chance to run the 3vz. It was already gone when I bought it. I would love to run the 5vz but that's more than the 3rz haha. Its hard to fund everything on with a part time job.

ok so i have been able to get some work done on the runner. i got the left rear bump stop fixed and when i was in there i noticed the right one needs to be replaced as well. its starting to rust through.

was gonna try an put my springs in but the first ones i got were the wron gones. then i got the springs that are ment for my runner but they are 4 inch springs i think. too much for me.

on that note though i did get my locker in and found out the problem with my old diff. and the reason the diff oil is black after about 4000 miles. went to pick the carrier up by the side bearing after i got the ring off and it just came right off.

these are the locker pinoin(left) and the pinion from my diff i took out of my runner. the only thing that is diffarent is the splines for the flange and the threads for the plange nut. so i just used a old style seal, flange and nut. when i got it all toghther everything was in spec. i will keep you all posted on if it goes south. but i cant see why it would. also i had to leave the rear sway bar out as the locker actuator is in the way. so i am going to either try a 3rd gen runner sway bar from one with a locker or mod the mounts on the housing.

just need to go out to slee offroad this week and get the wiring.
