Yeah I liked them too. They were on it when I bought it with 31s. Paid 1000 for the whole rig. Came with a blown headgasket too so I've never driven it. Just hope they hold up to trail use. Jegs sells them.

Finally got the auto wire harness converted with the new manual plugs today. Already ordered a manual computer just waiting on it to get here. No I need to figure out the rest of the wiring. I know people say its not that bad I'm just not putting it together in my head very well. Hopefully it will start to make sense sooner than later.

Got the crossover disassembled today. I have to wire the dedicated outlet for my 110 welder and finish disassembly on another 3.4 sitting on my engine stand before I can try and weld it back together. Hopefully I will get the outlet and disassembly completed Saturday. I now have another project to deal with as well. I just purchased my 91 4runner back from stepdaughter. It's a bit worse off than it was. Her last accident (guardrail) messed up the steering. Left hand turns are normal but it takes an act of congress and some steroids to turn the wheel to the right so I have to figure out what got bent and fix that but at least she is ok and the damage is minimal.

Work has been slow because I HATE working in the cold but I got a little progress made today. Cleaned up the engine bay a little and pulled the obd2 plug and 3.4 cor off the donor. I keep going back and forth if im going to build super low budget or do alot of preventive spending like new clutch and other hundred dollor hundred dollar there items. Ill likely just go the budget route since I want to get this one up and running so I can start on the 3.4 and sas on the 91 4runner.

The engine appears to have had regular maintenance. The timing belt looked newish but I don't believe they R/R the water pump. I am just going to do the timing belt/water pump so I have a starting reference point. It appears the rust on the exterior only started after the donors rollover because it all appears to be surface and not as bad as I had previously thought.

Not alot new but I have collected some parts. Got some manual hubs I'm cleaning/rebuilding, some fj80 rear coils and ome torsion bars on the way. Still trying to figure out which shocks to go with. I finally made my mind up to run 33x12.50x15s on this one.

So you know its been to long since you worked on your project when you lift the hood and find an abandoned birds nest and a wasp nest under the hood. Guess I should get busy again.

So I have finally made some headway on the old build again. I have the conversion harness 85% completed. Tore most of the 3.4 down and I was pleased to see the inside of the engine is in much better shape than the exterior. I had hoped that the exterior looked rough
due to the accident and it seems thats the case.

Got the oil pan pick up tube, oil pan, and valve covers cleaned and installed today. Waiting on the mail for the knock senor pigtail before I can reinstall the intake. Ended up getting lucky all the exhaust valves were between .013 and .014 so I didn't have to make any adjustments there. That was a nice surprise.
