PS> MY buddy owns a Mercedes Dealership(Part of it) in CA, ... he said, "Mark, tell him to go into Mercedes Training... it's one of the best paid/best benefits mechanical career moves out there!"... lol.. Just passing the word along.. Maybe just look into it, not gonna tell you what you should or shouldn't do, lol... Have a good one, man.

heres some pics from saturday, never had a hood prop so i had these liftgate struts off my old plymouth colt vista that i scrapped and put them on this, they arent strong enough, it will hold if the pickup is completely still but if you bump it they fall (now aint that safe ) also installed a new tensioner pulley i had layin around.
and here is the reason i havent been getting much work done on the yota, helped a freind with his 76 ford shortbox, swapped cabs, primed, body work, painted. was originally a 300 I6 and a 3 on the tree, he swapped in a 302 and 4spd, really sweet pickup, gonna be completely done tomorrow, just gotta finish the doors, install them, put the new grill on, and hook up the clutch.

The 74-76 Ford is one of my favorite trucks. I like the 78-79 but not the square headlights. Post some pics when done. Looks great.
Since you have a friend willing to help you on your yotas paint, that is always a good oppurtunity to learn something else. You might like it.
