Question, how fast are you going when down shifting into first and I do not down shift into first at all.
Does it jump out of gear at all?

IM not going very fast at all, no it doesn't jump out of gear. Sometimes it only wants to go halfway into reverse, then I let the clutch out a little bit it goes right into reverse

actually, that's kinda how mine is. unless you're going below 3mph (or stopped when cold), you'll never get it into 1st. and reverse sounds the same, too. i've heard that most of these issues are caused by a worn shifter bushing (?)

Great vids!

I've driven one with 25K on it a few years ago.... same thing, 1st is a really low one on these. Reverse, as mentioned, also was a lil sticky, just like mine. For reverse, i just put it in first, then it drops right over and into reverse.

For 1st, I have never downshifted into 1st unless I am barely rolling... it's just not practical with these. However, if I slap it into 3rd, then clutch and slowlyyyyyy slide it into 1st, it WILL go a lil easier. IMHO, 2nd is plenty low to get to a stop.

Nice work, bud! Looks great, too!

Did you do a grind on the flywheel? New Pilot Bearing? New Input shaft bearing? New Clutch, etc.?

Congratulations on getting your motor running. I know it gave you some problems, but you got it beat. I know that has to be a relief for you. Bet you get an A+ in class now. Great job.

Like Chef said sometimes you have to throw it into a different gear. The shifter bushing isnt bad to replace and more then likely it needs it anyways. Other then that I am not much help on your tranny issue.
