Truck is looking nice and capable! Good work so far. Make sure and watch out for all the horrible drivers on that bike!

Quick update: Cruisin the Woods was awesome as usually. If you haven't been, it definitely needs to be to be on your radar for next year. The truck worked great except for breaking a birf on the Friday run. When I bought the truck, I was told the front axle was fully built with RCV's. Not only did it not have RCV's (just stock birfs / shafts), it also had no grease... Or inner axle seal. I really would like to kick the PO in the shin, but what's done is done...

Starting October 1st I started my own insurance agency, so I have been super busy! I will also be super broke for a while, so I'm not sure when I will be able to fix the truck. A buddy of mine was awesome enough to help me with the trail repair and offer up his used stock shaft and birf! I really want to get some RCVs in there, but I may have to go the stock route for now and do everything twice... :banghead: I guess we will see what happens.

Well the Rover sold, so I will be getting some 30-spline chromoly shafts and birfs. I know RCV's can't be beat with the 300m star and warrenty, but I'm really tempted to save a couple hundred and get Marlin's made by Empi... They are on sale right now for stupid cheap.

This truck will never be on anything bigger than 37's, so I think I can get by with the Marlins. What do you guys think?

Quick update... I have all the parts to get the front end back together with all the cool kid parts. Then it will be off to finishing the front bumper. And then she will be up for sale.

I got the opportunity to buy my old FJ40 back from my buddy and I jumped on it. Unfortunately, I have no need for two wheelers.

Here is the old, resurrected build thread on the 40 in case you are interested: '73 FJ40 rebuild - family wheeler

I got the front end rebuilt with all new bearings and seals. She also got 30-spline RCV's! The best part of the whole thing was my 10yo daughter wanted to help me with reassembly. It was pretty special having her out there working with me.

That’s awesome! Those are some pretty sweet axle shafts too, hope you have good luck with them!

I bough some 37x12.50r17 Kanati Mud Hog M/Ts and mounted them on my old beadlocks. Then I put the Iroks on my FJ40... I need to sell one of these trucks and the Kanati's will stay with whichever rig stays in my garage, but for now they look perfect on the mini!

I like this little truck so much I really hate to sell it... But the 40 is so cool! I really don't know what I'm going to do...

I am getting pics from this weekend, but all the pics I have aren't of my trucks... It's hard to wheel and take pics of the truck you are wheeling at the same time.

However, I do have a few shots from when we pulled her out of the garage to leave:

I will do a full trip report (with pics) soon... Right now I need to catch up on work and getting everything cleaned up. I will say that I have decided to keep the truck and sell the FJ40.

Yeah, I know this was a long time coming... But here are some pics from wheeling the other weekend in no particular order:
