1984 Toyota Pickup 4x4

I can't wheel my Toyota where I live so I got into bikes to get my dirt and rock fix. The kid selling it was in college and needed the money, which is why I got it that cheap. I can't imagine how awesome your MTB scene is there. I enjoy pictures of Canada a lot. I love -16 weather personally.

Wow, the difference in proportion is pretty funny. I've parked my 4Runner next to a lifted suburban before and it probably looked something like this.
Unfortunately, I live in NE Ohio rather than Canada. There's some ok trails to bike but very few places to 4x4 that I'm aware of unless make a course on your property, which some people do.

Nothing against your co-worker, but stuff like that Punisher logo grille screams mall crawler-only. Also, you'd need one big ass trail to even fit that thing on.

I used to love going out to the mud pit and run circles around those knuckleheads in the full size trucks with all their aftermarket stuff. They never understood there was a reason the military uses tall skinny tires instead of the baloons they had on their rigs.

I don't even wheel myself. The best reason I can justify owning an old solid axle truck is to climb up to some great parts of the Nantahala in WV and get to hike stuff that some people just can't access.

Quite the predicament
Alright. I traded a Weber 32 36 for a 2WD truck that I sold my buddy a while back. It has a bad head gasket or the timing chain has eaten through the cover. I don't really know or care, it's got 300,XXX no maintenance miles on it and it's just a wore out 22R. I am pondering whether or not I should steal the rust free, no repair cab off of it and put it on my 85 instead of ATTEMPTING to use the damaged white cab from my other truck, or pull the 85s engine (it PURRRRRSSSS) and drop it into the 2WD to use as as DD. (gas mileage). If I go with the latter, the red truck will be closer to the grave and I could rob the axles from it and put them under my 84 with a set of 33s. Do I really need two 4x4s? I am leaning towards having a lifted 4x4 on 33s and a 2WD to go anywhere I want in. I would be doing the timing and the head gasket on the good engine I have for it while it's out just to know 100℅ what I have. Good grief. I have too many options.

Man, you've got the good kind of problems! I'm not gonna tell you what to do, but I'd love a 2wd truck to complement my 85 4runner over a second 4x4.
Actually I'd just like to own any sort of pickup truck.

Dropped most of my savings on a taco. Best trucks Toyota ever built in my opinion. I'm the second owner at 256,000 miles lol. My 97 had more than that though. I'm considering selling all of my 4x4s and putting the money back into my savings. Not sure though. Just at a point where I'm thinking about what I want vs what I need.
