Ok I have made a plan for my aluminum shell...I have to narrow the tailgate 1/2" and cut the hight by 2" it shouldnt be a problem but I will have to cut the door down too...that might be tricky I will peal all that thin as coil stock metal off and install stock car aluminum on the out side I wanted to leave it bare, but the bare is more than the painted stuff go figure so now I got to decide on black or white....

I am going to check them out. The guy I talked to said they have older ones. You are probably right.

There has to be a way of getting that plug back on. That would be too bad if that is the only ting wrong with it.

yeah its not really a plug its part of the housing that just popped out, I dont think it would be worth welding it back on tho, I pulled the shifter out and the top plate off the t case last night just to se a bunch of rust on the shift rods but the gears looked OK not hardly any rust on them. I think I could just hit them with a wire brush and then put it back together and they will be OK..If I buy 4.7:1's I will just put the gears out of the tcase you gave me in this one and all is good!!!

Hello Brandon..That pregnancy thing wasnt the best time of my life. It was rough around here when we went thru it. Maybe yours will go a little smoother. It can seem like a long time on these projects, but lookin at yours, you havent been on it even a year. It sure feels like 10 years at times. You have made alot of progress.

I try and tell people to go back thru their threads some time and they probably think "Wow, I started with that and now look at where I am", you got alot done and with everything else that comes with life, it is a wonder we get any time to work on these projects.

Document even the littlest things. Sometimes getting that one part that goes on easy can be a pain just getting the funds up for it. Been down that road. I have gone thru my threads 100s of times and know I missed adding alot of things along the way, but really enjoy it each time I go thru it. Time flies, it seems like sometimes I had to wait for months to get one part that was holding me up. Getting the head to the machine shop was a long wait for me at one time.

Another thing I just started doing to fund some of my projects and has helped get things cleaned up around here is posting things on Craigslist. I have been getting rid of things I would of had to pay to have hauled off. I am even starting to find thing just for C-list. You will get there before you know it. Hang in there.

what I have been working on instead of the camper or the truck.

What do ya think... I am setting it up for bow fishing, its a 80's Bear compound bow 55-65# draw it was pea green and scuffed up so I painted it like this to use for bow fishing. I always have liked flashing bows/guns. This is my first bow well actually #2 I build a PVC bow but it wouldn't fling the bowfishing arrow very hard at all.

I really dig that color and design. Did you paint that yourself? it looks great!

I've always wanted to get into archery.

Looks like the bow turned out well. I remember fishing with a bow. Fun times. Thats what you use when they wont bite.

Yeah I painted it it turned out ok for my first swirl job but not real great its been bouncing around in the cab of the truck for a bout a two weeks now and the paint and primer is chipping on the mag riser so I will end up stripping it and repaintig the riser the fiberglass limbs held paint really well!..
