Still have the parts you need.

Do you mean the HVAC fan speed control from the interior? If that's what you mean, I'll still be using mine. (only parting out the stuff not being reused from my engine swap). If you can't find one near you, I know of a few yards I can dig one up for you. You probably need more than just the switch though from the sounds of it.

Oh - what's your zip so i can check shipping for you?

Didn't your radiator have a lifetime warrany? You could exchange it for a new one and then sell it. Where did you get it?

 

A local joint that went out of business due to a flood...

I may end up using it anyway in which case I'd fix it - hell I might fix it anyway. Been a while since I brazed though...

 

I've decided to part out my 3VZ (3.0 V6) engine from my 93 4Runner. There has been some interest in it as a whole unit, but nothing has materialized and I need this thing outta here. It had sprung an external coolant leak at the rear of the driver side head - immediately shut down.

Unless someone needs something more specific, I was planning to part it out as follows:

heads - $100 each or $175 for both
block - $150 (bare)
crank - $100
rods - $100 (set of 6)
upper intake - $40
lower intake - $40
throttle body - $100
knock sensor - $40

Any other parts can be discussed. Prices to be added, but will consider any reasonable offer.

Those that have PM'd me in the past for parts will have first dibs - I will be checking with each of you first.

Cebby, i posted my 3.0 engine (complete and still in the truck) on Craigslist and had 2 phone calls within 45 minutes! I then had another 5 calls over the next 24 hours. Every single caller wanted to buy it. A couple guys even offered me 3 times the amount that i was asking but unfortunately i sold it to the first guy. There are tons of people out there wanting a complete 3.0 engine and it seems there all looking on Craigslist.

 

Hey Rocket - thanks for the info - I haven't dismantled it yet, so I guess I'll try Craigslist first. I'd prefer to move it in one piece if possible.

How much for the whole thing and what are the issues with it?

 

External leak on the head gasket at the driverside rear of the engine. It was immediately shutdown when it started leaking. When I drained the fluids, the oil and coolant had not mixed.

Engine was strong (for a 3.0) prior to the problem. Has around 140k miles. Had the HG replaced under the recall at 60k IIRC.

$400 for the whole engine + shippping. Engine is in zip 15139 currently (out of 4Runner on a pallet)
