>>>Robert Russo (me) put me down for true bi-xenon H4 8000K (I hope it's not too bright) but I have this #@%*! that drives an Escalade (pooh) with the brights on and it's BRIGHT so I want to beam them back ;-)
What are the temps for the QB TB and ZB ?

This kit includes a harness with two relays, inline fuses, and battery leads.

I got my kit installed and I was wondering how others feel about their conversion?
My quick review:
I went with the 4300k bixenon "moving" kit because I wanted a warmer color temp and with all of the research I did on hidplanet it seemed it was the best option for shielding glare and creating a decent beam with our reflector head lamps (97 stock lamps frosted glass). Installation was easy with 1 power connection to the battery, 2 ground points and the rest was plug and play. Everything worked well and I was very impressed with the packaging, nice box! and wiring kit, everything seemed to be of good quality and it looks like it will stand up to the elements well.
The beam pattern is decent, not too much different than my h4 bulbs, but definetly some glare and some major hot spots. I will try to get some beam pics and some halogen comparison shots soon.
Overall I am happy but I will soon be doing a retrofit with some fx35 projectors, hoping to find a way to use the cnlight ballasts and wiring kit.

Oh, and I forgot to note. Make sure you guys mount your ballasts somewhere relatively cool. Keep it away from coolant pipes, engine, etc.

I haven't done much reading on this technique. But I believe it is possible to "rebase" bulbs.

So it may very well be possible to use these in your retrofit.

I wouldn't purchase these for purposes to "get back" at neighbors/friends/etc. Moreso for your own safety to be able to see better at night.

I will look up the color temperatures for the QB/TB/ZB, but I would not recommend them. It makes you an easy target for cops.

if the ballasts you sell use AMP connectors you can buy AMP to D2S adapters for about $20 and will be able to use the kit ballasts with OEM D2S bulbs

I was just curious about the pretty colored bulbs, last thing I want to do is attract the cops!

are you using a relay harness or just plugging the ballasts into your stock headlight plugs

ok ok here is what i have 2 relays taped together(how they came) 2 transformers, 2 ballasts. so i have the ground to the batery ground, positive wire then from there it goes into the relays then to the tranformers then to the ballasts. each bulb also has its own attachment to each factory wiring from the original headlights(i thought that only one would be attached but apparently both are. so now my situation after switching the bulbs and wires. i have the low beam when i turn the low beams on. and now when i use th high beams only the passenger side works. driver side never changes at all no matter what i try there.
also i did notice that the driver side has a 3rd contact from the HID bulb To the transformer where as the passenger side only has 2 contacts. i know this is hard to imagine. but any help would be apreciated thanks!. oh i checked all the fuses and none are blown and my factory fuses have been replaced with 30 amps fuses from the 10 amps that they were before.

Smile Installation a Success!

I received both of my kits today at 4:30. Started installation in the 4Runner first. Will do the Lexus tomorrow. So I got the 9004 Bi-Xenon moving which comes with the relay harness. I put everything out in order and organized loosely where I wanted everything to go. I unbolted the battery tie town to allow a little wiggle room and removed the washer bottle to give me access to the bulb. What is interesting is the instructions say to hole cut a hole in the existing housing. Hmmm...didn't need to. They must be old instructions. I removed the old bulbs, found that I'm missing the locking ring. So if anyone has one, please let me know. I took the new HID bulbs and they fit perfect into the housing. I figured I'd do this first so that if I had any modifications, I'd know right away. With that all hooked in, I ran the relay wires to the battery. One to the positive and the other to a body ground. Took one of the old plugs and plugged into the relay. Hooked up the remaining wire, which isn't rocket science and whoolah. Everything worked. That took only about 30 minutes. What took time was installing the relay, each ballast and routing all the wire. I'm pretty picky and wanted it all to look professional. 1 1/2 hours later I was ready to pull it out into the night. Okay I noticed right away I needed some adjusting. Pulled about 15 feet from the garage door and aimed away. Darn...didn't get a shot of that. The bi-xenon moving are interesting as you here it move from lo/hi. So it was raining quite abit tonight, the streets were black and dark. So.....after much disgust of these fixed 4Runner light housing, I finally can see! The streets came alive. I could see in front of me. I drove around and since the rig sits higher, if I was on the bumper of a lower import car, the light was beaming through their headrest, but back off at a normal distance and I wasn't reflecting in their mirror. I could see the sidewalk nice and the black hard to see lines in the street were well lit. I didn't get blinked and I could see oncoming traffic wasn't getting glare. I'm impressed with the color too. I got 6000k. You can however tell they aren't stock, but the point was to see at night. The highs just are a different pattern, so not really much different than more of a spread. Nice though. I'll try to post some pics, but to be honest, wasn't taking a whole lot since it was raining. So in summary, worth every penny I paid for them. They were packed in a quality box and and the wiring was very nice and not at all what I expected. Looks factory.

Woody, I'm interested to see pics of yours. I wondered how these would do in our headlights. Looking forward to seeing what kind of pattern you are getting.

Hm.......

I was thinking that the cause of this was a faulty relay, but it's way too coincidental that I have a few people with this same exact problem..... Now i'm beginning to suspect a bad connection somewhere...

I'll try to get a resolution to this issue ASAP. If anyone else is having the same problem, please let me know.

And if anyone has theirs working, please shed some light onto this problem and as to how you connected the kits.

Edit: Good to hear Woody! When you do the Lexus, I would install the bulb so the filament is pointed down if possible (since it has the projector lights).

Should be very straightforward. From the sounds of it, it seems everyone had no trouble installing except that the drivers side high isn't working..
