1996 4Runner SR5 3.4 Auto
VEHICLE IS GONE. UPDATED 1/13/14
WHAT: 1996 4Runner SR5 3.4 Auto with 241K
WHY: Rear ended into another vehicle and deployed airbags
WHERE: Knoxville, TN 37921
This is my father-in-laws 4Runner that has served him faithfully for the past 4 years IIRC. Last week, a 16yo came flying up behind him and in her eyes it was either hit the big SUV, or the man on a motorcycle. She got the hitch moving about 45-60 mph and peeled her Grand Am open like a tin can. The bad was the force knocked the truck into the pick-up in front and deployed the airbags (they were stopped at a redlight, and there were no skid marks). All parties walked away, and the medic that responded said he may have to go buy a Toyota after seeing how well this one held up.
It was totaled out by the ins. company due to age/mileage/airbags. There was little exterior damage until it was delivered to my house. As the roll-off truck came down the hill (right in front of my house) and tried to stop for the stop sign, the rear tie down strap broke and the truck slammed into the back of the cab of the roll-off.
On to pics:
The front of the truck was just narrow enough to fit inside the headache rack and it was high enough it skipped over the bumper bar.
Now on to what's for sale. If you have a request for a specific part or picture, let me know. Just fair warning, I need the ignition coils for my truck, and I more than likely will be taking the factory e-locker to put on my truck as well (I've just not decided if I want to undertake that project yet).
Feel free to ask any questions, I will try to have the correct answer. Once again, this was my father-in-law's truck, so I'd have to ask him about the service record.
UPDATE
These items have been sold:
Front seats
Head Lights/corners/blinkers(front bumper turn signal)
A/C condenser coil
Grille
The little trim under the Head Lights
Passenger side wheel well plastic/trim
Fender Flares
Roof rack
TOO DAMAGED TO SELL:
front bumper & valance
rear bumper
trailer hitch
Everything else is still available

I wish you were closer, i would love the seats and console.
But a 4 hour trip one way for a set of seats.... not so much. Your not coming down this way any time soon are you?

Not really....and I just sold the seats earlier this week. I still have the center console (minus the lid). But it has the rear heat controls, cupholder, and ashtray.
(I really need to update this, was just waiting on a few more possible sales to finalize)

I have pretty much made up my mind that I'm going to use it. My only delay is deciding which gears to go with.
