1992 TOYOTA 4RUNNER V6 4x4 AUTO Transmission
I have a 1992 toyota 4runner V6 Automatic transmission ( A340H ) for sale. Solenoid is shot so need to replace solenoid #2 and need to replace the cable. There is one wire that goes into the tranny that got cut, but I think it goes to either solenoid. All wire is still there. Tranny was mostly run on synthetic fluid so it is very clean inside. Willing to part out the tranny so fill free on other parts that you need, still have the speed sensor. Would like to sale it at $300.00 usd. Will ship anywhere in the USA. You pay for shipping..
I also have a bad but good use wire harness that is good for plugs that you may need to replace that has been broken off, make offer on this or would trade it for a carton of marlboro light cigarette.
Also have other part left out for sale, tell me what you need on the picture shown, make offer on either parts you need.
The auto tranny,

tranny issues...HELP!
I have a 1992 4runner with an auto tranny and I am having seroius problems..I think. When I drive it for a long period of time, like go on a trip, my back window gets covered in tranny fluid. Also, my reverse will not work if I am on any kind of an incline. I took it in to the tranny shop and they said my tranny is going out. The year model I have NOBODY wants to touch it, fix it, rebuild it, anything. They said that year and a few other years have the transfer case integrated with the tranny and it's a real bitch to work on. My mechanic said I should take off the plates and leave it somewhere. It runs very good in town and I have no problems otherwise. Is there anyone out there who has experienced the same problem?? If so...PLEASE HELP!!

The 340H is not that hard to work on, even with the transfer case. The only real problem is that it's rather heavy. I completely rebuilt mine in my garage with basic tools and a shop manual.
It sounds like it needs new seals to stop it from leaking.
