I know a couple of people who wheel them at Paragon and are pretty happy with them. I have no first hand experience with them though, so take it fwiw.

I know this doesn't help with your initial question, but I'm very happy with my Destination MTs. I've had them to Paragon a handfull of times this summer and they do as well or better than the tires being run by people I wheel with (generally procomp MTs, BFGs, MTRs, and Swampers).

The jury is still out on their tread life, so if you plan on doing lots of road driving with them, you may want to consider something else. I'm also yet to have them in the snow.

When I had them mounted, I had my dealer check the road force numbers... all 4 were between 11 and 13.

I just saw this thread, and if Bridgestone made a 35" Revo, I'd buy it again. But, since they don't I'm also looking elsewhere, Gadget. The Revo for a 285 is the best all-terrain, period! Just ask any of the guys that have wheeled with me at Tellico, Windrock, & Royal Blue. They have smoked numerous mud and rock tires, and pretty much any terrain is doable with these tires. But, they aren't internet cool as Steve puts it. I'll have to check out these Toyo tires, because they sound like they might have a good size for me.

How are you getting $179.95, because I'm seeing a lot more than that for that size.

I wonder if the $125 rebate applies to that too?

The previous owners had them on the vehicle when I purchased her. I've taken her through some thick stuff at Carnegie and she performed well.

I also just came back from Clear Creek and those tires worked well.

I'm very happy with them, but will be changing them out for some BFG mud tires when these wear out.

They perform very well on the road and in some decently muddy areas.

I got a set of the Toyo A/T on my truck now. The truck rides so much nicer then the Goodyears I had on there. Greatly improved wet road traction.

I have not off roaded them just yet, but the tread looks plenty agressive.

Oh, way quieter also!

That would end up being about $155/tire then. Not bad!

I'm with you Gadget. I have to toyo open country A/T's on my 98 runner and i love em on the road, especially in the wet and snow. I'm a little nervous to go to a MT cuase i do spend so much time on the highway. I'm patiently awaiting the open country MT's cause at Town Fair Tire up here in CT, they will replace a set of tires within 30 days if you're not happy with your puchase.

Good News!
I finally got NEW Toyo Open Country MT in 285/75/16 after more than a year of waiting. They were on Backorder since last October and last Monday 200 arrived from Japan. My distributor Kauffman Tires got 4 of them after about 30 seconds they were entered into the inventory. Anyway my first impression of them:

1. Balancing: they were balanced in just a few minutes and used 5 times less weight than MT/R.
2. The pattern is about 2/8 wider than MT/R
3. They are 10 ply, MT/R 8ply
4. They look great, no white letters option, but one side has raised letters, looks really good.
5. They ride incredible, I couldn't believe it at first. Almost no road noise, kind of like driving a regular sedan. It was raining all day and before I got the tires i had to use 4wd on the road. When I got the tires install and went for a ride the traction was amazing, I couldn't break the rear loose.
6. Need to do some off road driving to see how they perform but I am very confident that they do just fine.

Open Country MT is defiantly better tire than Goodyear MT/R (i had it for 3 year and was very happy with the performance)
