tire pressure BFG 275/16 AT

on my 98 runner(5250 lbs), im runnin bfgs 275/75/16 rated at max 65psi(3klbs). After doing some PSI calculations, the results show that I should be runnin around 30psi. This seems really low to me-and there is an obvious bulge now.

im thinkin 40 would be a little better...goin to try the credit card and wet tread pattern test.

any thoughts?

I've been running 35 psi for this set and my last set (I got 70k miles out of them) of ATs. Good, even wear.

I run 30psi; but I have 285/75's on stock rims. If you chalk the tread you can check for an even footprint to make sure your not over inflating.

I just spoke to a representative at BFG about recommended tire pressure. My tires are also BFG Allterrain TA KO but the size is 265/75/16.

She ran the calcultions in her program, yada yada, and came up with a recommendation of 50psi (just the weight of the vehicle). The funny thing is that the previous person I spoke with there recommended 55psi

I think I will just set it to 45-50 psi and call it a day. I just don't want premature wear on my new tires.
