I am torn! I dont think I want to go with sport kings (generic bfg at/kos) but I don't want to break the bank or go to wild on a tire. Problem is this tire is only avail in a 31 and I am not too familiar with the brand and mileage. I think this tire might be a good happy medium since i see most conditions but mostly mud and snow and rain. Any opinions? anyone running them? they are $112 ea right now www.jbccoffroad.com and thats not a bad price....

i talked to a guy who was running them on his tj. he said they were too new to tell about mileage yet, but they seemed to have good road manners, and do well in the rain, which matters down here in florida. i love the tread pattern, and im going with the 33's in about 2 months.

yeah i heard they are a heavy tire, but if needed i can get in front of a tire balancer and balance a friggin square! so i think i might just go this route. that an I dont have to buy a new spare tire cause i'm stayin 31's then.

i have the 285's, i like them a lot except that they are very heavy. i wish that i had of done better with them in rotating them and balancing them. a crappy alignment killed them as well. i like them a lot mine have over 20k miles on them and the insides are very worn due to the horrible alignment, the outsides look brand new. they are a "high maitenance" tire but if you get lifetime balancing and rotation with them i think they would be great. 3 of mine took less than 4 ounces to balance and one took 12 ounces, so they aren't the most consistent tire either.

all in all, great on and off road, very heavy unless you can get one of the few sizes that aren't 10 ply sidewall.

What's up with that horrible unaligned seam running down the trad of the tire? That seems a little sketchy.

yeah I have worked at a tire store so balancing and rotations will be taken care of on time no problem. and I am due for an alignment when i crank the torsion bars and finish off the susp. 20k and still having tread isnt bad if they still look good in areas where the poor alignment didnt get to the treads.

he's talking about the first picture, the center tread to the left is misaligned, interco isn't known for their quality control sometimes

I had them for a while in a 31" size. They were good tires for a while, but then the tread blocks on the side just started peeling off. I hadn't taken them off-road on any rocks or anything that would cause them to peel off. Not to mention it was all the lugs that started to peel off. Interco said they would replace them all free, but I switched them out for a set of BFG Mud Terrains. I just didn't want that to happen again. Plus like everyone said, they were heavy as the dickens.
