that deal at 4wheel parts is very tempting. buy 3 and get one free, cant beat that. Anyways, from what i hear, they are not great off road. They flex OK over rocks and such, but they get clogged with mud really easy, and they dont clean real well. They are ok on road, and i think the the noise level is also just OK. The deal is really really good, so i dont know. BTW i think those 2 12's should drown out any road noise.

dont worry they are, but sometimes on long trips, the music gets annoying so theyre off. or sometimes i ride with all the windows down and music off so i dont want them to be too loud.

I vote that you buy them and report your findings. Pro Comp has a bit of a reputation of being a budget wheeler's brand. Their lifts, shocks, springs, etc. are cheaper than some other alternatives but also not as good. I tend to think their tires may be the same way. The sidewalls look weak to me compared to those of proven tires like Goodyear MTRs ($$$) and BF Goodrich MTs or ATs ($). I'll never buy tires without substantial sidewall lugs again. 95% of trail flats I have seen have been due to sidewall punctures. The other 5% have been bead seal issues which arent the tire's fault.

There are other issues to consider like road hazard warantee and expected treadlife that I have not seen any info on. Its hard to find concrete data on these things. Magazine reviews are paid for by advertisements, if you see a good review of any product and and ad for the same product in the same rag, BEWARE, the info in the review is likely not very credible. I suspect they are made of a softer compound which will grip well but wear faster also. We need a good long term, unbiased evaluation to make informed decisions on unproven products like PC MT tires. You seem like the perfect candidate Mr. AllOtherNames, let us know how they work.
