The idea is cool, but the look of it kinda weirds me out.

So, how do I air down for deep snow? And to think I wasted all that money on extra digital tire pressure gauges...

 

One of the drawbacks to the system is that you can't change the springrate on the spokes for other conditions (like mud, snow, rocks).
For mostly highway driving the tires will kick some serious butt (no lateral deflection).

 

IMHO it would look better if they covered the sidewalls to make it look like a regualr tire.

 

It will be....the current model is only cut away to show the difference.
If it was left open it could cause all kinds of other problems (such as balancing in winter).

 

I don't think the ricers will buy it – the sidewall's too tall.

 

The ricers might cut the sidewalls off theirs to be cool.

 

Ricers will have a new place to mount LED lighting all around the wheel.

 

I can see this in the latest rap video.

How do you air down? Loosen the spokes?
