OK, I've searched for a while and decided on getting the 31X10.5 Revo's. Then I called all the Costco stores around me and they say that the Revo's are all on national backorder and will cost 140 each w/ mount, balance, etc.. Or I could get the regular Dueler A/T tires for 110 each this weekend AND get $60 back if I get them before Sunday night. Are the Revo's worth $180 more and a long wait? Also can I fit 32's on a stock first gen? Thank you all so much. -Chris

I got the regular dueler a/t non revos and they are great but I havent really driven it in anything harsh. For my kind of driving the regular a/t's are more than enough and if youre driving conditions are the same, I'd say the regular a/t's are a hell of a deal with the costco coupon. I had to replace my tires and was like a month away from the coupon so I couldnt get the discount.

 

i love my revo's. I wouldn't buy any other tiree out there right now. And i paid a grand even for mine. Crap.

 

I'm really wanting the revo's and will be taking my truck 'wheeling. I just can't justify paying so much more for the revo's. Are the BFG A/T KO's a bad choice? I hear they aren't so good in the wet. I will be in the Kansas clay/ mud. Thanks -Chris

 

I would take the deal on the regular duelers if I were you. Firestone did price match tire rack for me though, so you may want to check that out.

 

Now that I've ran my Dueler AT 693's in the snow and on icy roads (I've had them 9 months), I can say overall, I'm impressed. I had originally asked for the revos but my local shops' next day distributor sent the 693's by mistake. Of course I did not find this out 'til the wife brought it home from the install.
At $111 ea. installed, for factory size, I decided to compromise instead of paying the $30 bucks (I think) more per tire to take it back to them to exchange for the revos. I remember the dealer telling me these only come w/raised white & black letter on opposite sides. The 693's are a better looking tire than the revo IMO, black out looks (if that matters any) especially sharp on the 4-runner.
I think my next tire may be the revo but so far I'm very pleased with the 693's. Until someone has driven a 4-runner for a while using both of these tires, I'd consider this as I weighed their advice as well as mine. Going by the numbers, I believe the revo is a better overall tire but the 693's would come in second.

 

I've been looking around at the local shops for prices. Firestone quoted me 136 each. After looking at the regular AT next to the Revo I gotta say there is no comparision. The AT looks good but its just another AT tire. The Revo just looks mean.

 

I checked out that tire rack site and they had the Geolander ATs for $86 a piece for 31X10.50s. That sounds pretty good to me. Its about $40 less per tire than the revos and I've heard some good things about them too.

Those may be my next tires since they will be $160 less than the revos.

Note: I still want the revos.

 

I sure like my revo's and that they have a 50k warranty for the A/T tire. They behave really nice on road. I paid $150 for my 285's. I would buy them again.
