picture time!
lots of reference shots. this was before i decided to build a new roof
the nuts aren't even tightened down. no wonder it was so wobbly
anyone know what these clips are for?
and this slot thing behind the galley?
canvas-free!
the black stuff is sticky tape
mmmmm... mildew...
starting the tear-down (actually about half way through)
still wet
i have to show you this. it's the reason there's a gallon of acetone in the trailer right now
awesome acetone
and this is what i'm left with after a day of working on the roof. on the ground.
tomorrow i'll try to get as much of the foam off as i can, but i have a few other things i need to take care of, so we'll see...

DAYYYYYYYUMMMMMMMMM! LOL. Now that's some good reference, buddy! Great work!
Far as the clips... hmmm, looks like you have some of those holding in some kind of rod behind the sink and stove, no? Maybe they're to fix some kinda condiment fixture on the end of the table? Maybe a sun shade fitting, to clip it in when you pull it down to shade the table? Just guessin, lol.

shoot, i tell you whut... when i first went out to pick up the trailer, one of the tires was flat an un-beaded. the spare held pressure, but since it was exposed, it was all cracked. so i drove 65 mph home with 35 psi in the, using the term loosely, "good" tire, and about 20 in the rotting spare. oh, did i mention the cold psi is 50? yeah, i was hoping i didn't have a flat. these new tires are going to be soooo much better. and i picked up some vinyl to make a cover for the spare tire
i'll be working on the roof all weekend, so i'll keep you all posted

sorry mark, i'm not much on suspension, much less ifs. hope you get it fixed. down time is no fun
and how'd you guess i was ordering "the crazy chicken"? haha
yeah, sheet metal for the roof. i was trying to save the original, but decided to look up prices. once i saw that it was relatively cheap, i changed my mind.
now for some pics:
my new mattresses
my first braze!
and second. i won't be brazing the sheet to the frame, that's for sure

thanks! hopefully that will be before the 24th of june. i want to take it up to rousche creek
just got done flipping the axle. easier than i expected, and the hardware is in great shape. i gained about 3.5 inches, which works well for the truck
before
hardware off
axle off
after
and a nice entry step height
total time: 2 hours
total cost: $0
tools used:
- 9/16 socket & wrench
- 4 jackstands
- 1 bottle jack
- various blocks of wood
very easy mod to do. this is the first time i've done it, and i had no issues at all, considering the trailer is older than "back to the future"

try:
www.mcnichols.com
You may want to call to get a price, but they were the cheapest i could find locally for perforated aluminum. I beleive they carry regular sheet also.

Great job so far irab!
Also give http://www.metalsupermarkets.com/ a look.
I get almost all my metal from one of their local stores, the prices are pretty reasonable and you should be able to get a quote online. I think aluminium from them is roughly $25/lb, I dunno how good a price that is but the only other place I can find is about 2x as expensive for everything.
Unfortunately it looks like their closest location to you is Pittsburgh.
