ha, i already have an account over there. even have this same thread. great info over there.
for the tail lights, that seems like a pretty good idea! i like it. i'll see how the headlight restore kit works, and use the paint if it's still too pink. thanks!

Yeah, I got that paint at AutoZone not 2 years ago, Ian..... worked GREAT, and had very good UV resistance. I spent a whole summer practically in the desert, near a lake.... 100+ Degrees for DAYZ! didn't fade that paint at all. It was just a spray can, it goes on very evenly, and is a sort of colored clear coat? I know, doesn't sound right, ....that's not the naming of it, lol.. but you get my meaning.
CAN'T WAIT to see you on a trip in this! I'm looking for one already, bud!

I'll be watching this one. Currently my lady and I just sleep in the back of the 4runner with the set up I made. I think she'd be happier if we had a little pop up like this one.

little trailers like this are nice. it's a large tent on wheels, basically
today i cleaned up my tail lights. well, in the process, rather. scuffed and buffed 'em this morning, and bought a can of stained-glass spray paint, which will be sprayed on the inside:
so, hopefully by tomorrow afternoon, i'll have some nice looking tail lights. and i'm meeting up with a friend to flip the axle

Tent trailers are cool
My parents and I took trips way up into Canada with my brothers two trailers he owned when I was young around 16 or so.
Have fun fixing yours up.
This was my beater Sears trailer we got for around $500 back in '82 or so.
Bought a brand new Flagstaff (same as a Jayco) around '89 shortly after getting on with Boeing.
Still miss it, had to sell it after my first layoff.

thanks corey! nice set-up you have!
plan "b" with the tail lights: instead of using stained glass paint, i'm using actual tail light paint. i saw it on the aisle-end, and i think it's turning out better than the other stuff would have
before painting. held up to a 100 watt lamp:
about to be painted:
the paint i'm using. ~$15 at advance auto
almost finished, just need to put another coat on and let them dry:
