diesel into toyota RV?
My buddy has a 87 or 88 toyota rv with the 4cyl gas engine in it. Is it possible to do a diesel swap of some sort in this? What diesel engine will fit with the least amount of mods?
We live in CO so high altitude driving is a must and he gets crappy mileage and has NO power going over passes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

You can always swap in a 3.4 gas engine, it would be much cheaper, and easier. It's tough to find diesel toyota engines here in the US, and it's tough to find parts for them.

good thought, he was looking at diesel but I will mention that to him as well. Is there any non toyota diesels that can be made to fit? If you can swap in a small block chevy to these things fairly easy I would imagine you could also do either a 6.2 or 6.5 diesel just as easily. Only thing then is the weight of the damn thing.
