Quick question, you said you didn't use the input shaft extension and everything worked out fine? I plan on using the ks racing bh also. I've read that the 96+ r150's have a 1" longer input shaft...so would I be correct in assuming that a 96+ would eliminate the need for the extension altogether?

Nope, I didnt use any input shaft extension. KS racing forgot to put it in my box i guess. They also forgot to trow in every other thing like the pilot bearing kit and etc...

After having the flywheel machined, I installed everyting and looked trough the clutch fork hole. The input shaft was in the pilot bearing. I dont know by how much but...
I didnt get any problem since. First sign would have been vibration or oil leak from the input shaft. But, non of these signs.
But hey, maybe I have a 96+ trans but I dont think so.

You can post questions here Zuki. No problem.
That way, we could share answer's with the world !

Mine's is still running fine. I got exhaust leaks from the manifold/downpipe that are getting worst from day to day but i can live with that for the moment.

Apart from that, my truck body is getting soft. I will have to do something about it if i want to keep it for an other 5-6 years. Also, i spoted a tiny crack in the frame will changing the rear 3rd member. Yes i blew the rear end. I bought a 4cyl one at the scrap yard for 60$ and got it welded from a friend
I now love more my truck but the clutch dosent like left foot kicks is 2nd on tarmac.

Im thinking about sas-ing it. Im also thinking about a truggy. I would love to make a round tube/flat bed/light bars/streeable rear bed. Probly shorten to.
Time will see.

Here's a few picture while im at it.

I Made a pair of these. Took a while...

My gasket leaks are caused by the upper control arms hitting the manifold upon flexing. To solve this problem, I will sadly need to Sas it

Plus, my ball joint spacers with +0'' front shock caused one front shock to pop out. I ordered some +3" last friday. That will solve one problem this week.

I forgot to add these pictures in my lastest update.
I only used it a couple times yet.

WOW! where in quebec are you? I have a lot of family up there. Next time i'm up i want to go see your truck in person! Awesome.

BTW, would aftermarket control arms fix your clearance issue?

Im in Gatineau, juste beside Ottawa.
I didnt think about aftermarket control arms. Tho, SAS'in it will solve the issue. Or, some mods on the headers with skills i didnt have in the past.

did you ever get your speedo figured out? try using a radar gun to see what your actual speed is? and are the 4.58 gears giving the power you need to roll, or would the 4.10 gears do the trick? did you ever get around to getting a total amount for how much the swap ended up coming out to? Did you use the stock oil pan?

Im getting ready to do this swap into my '90 PU and basically going the same route you did, staying IFS picking up a whole car to part it out, and keeping the stock r150 tranny.

Thanks for the info.

Speedo is still the same. About 5kph off. I used my phone gps to figure it out. A top speed of 175kph as been achived...lol
I got plenty of power with the 4.56 on the road. 4.10 would be worst on the speedo. If the truck was dedicated for off road only, at least 4.88 will be a solid choice.

This swap probly cost around 2000$ depending on ressources.
And yes i used the stock oil pan but, you got to know I have a 3" body lift and that helped to get my engine sitting higher.
