shaggy im not running a/c so i pulled the a/c box from under the glove box area .. my ecu is mounted under there.
on the maroon 4runner we mounted it under the passanger seat .. had to extend the harness .. i will be mounting the ecu under the seat on this current swap also.

I'm trying to do my wiring but by the time I get to it after working all day I don't get anything done from lack of ambition. Last night I sat an stared at the wiring and the diagrams for about 3 hours and all I managed to do is many a third of the alternate circuit. I'm gonna have to wait tell next week when I have another day off so I have all day.

whats up toyminator havent seen you around for a while ?
i mounted the ecu behind and to the right of the glove box .just made a couple brackets and mounted it ..
toyminator i see your running the sc's fuel pump control .. im gonna try and use that on this current swap .. looking at the pic you posted .. the milky white connector to the far right ..that looks like it has the fuel pump wires , is that connector connected to the old COR relay plug .. if it is i wish i knew what plug that was or where on the trucks its used besides the COR.
starting on the new project also .. just need to finish this swap .. but im sick of the wires already

whats up mr rbx ? thanks for those diagrams , there nice , ill ship it back after a while .
i also saw coraxs thread but the ecus are much bigger than his .
LS top right about 1.5 " longer and 3/4 wider and 1/2 thicker ,sc bottom right 1' wider 1/2 longer and 3/4 thicker.. obviously with out the plugs also.
now the 5vz ecu is the exact same size as the 7m ecu .

Wow they are big. How about under the driver dash? You may have to lengthen the wires...again?
Glad you got schematic, take your time with it.... I know you are busy.

no room under the driver dash..we were gonna try and mount the ecu on the maroon runner at the back behind the passeger where the speakers are .. but it was too long of a run with the wires .

so you mounted your ecu in the same place?

heat exchanger? like an intercooler or something? gonna try running with out one dont really have room for one .. like i said in the above post .. im learning as i go so i hope i dont blow this thing up im actually gonna try and make 2 one for the maroon runner also..

Forgive me if I did miss it, but have you done some poking around on Lextreme? I can't speak from personal experience with a roots blown 1UZ, however I have worked with tons of M90/6-71 domestic motors, and from what I've read from the really smart guys who run a roots blower, it's a matter of time until you get heat soak. Especially with a trail truck, your going to build up heat rather quickly, and not really have the ability to cool more than the fan setup will allow (i.e. freeway speeds). Once the manifold/supercharger gets hot from building boost, it has no way of disipating the heat and it will rob you of horsepower, everytime. With this in mind, if you do a little digging, you will find that almost every car produced with a roots blower either has a heat exchanger or has heat soak problems.
There are 2 ways to correct his problem. The first would be to run methonal injection to keep intake temperatures down. The second is to fabricate some sort of heat exchanger into your manifold setup. Both of them have their ups/downs, but to me... if your taking the time to fabricate some of your own stuff, do it right, and do it right the first time. I seriously apploud you for building an M90'd 1UZ, but I'd hate to see you go through this without some insight from someone who has a little. I own a turbocharged 1UZ, and the reason why I when turbo instead of the a screw was because the added work of fabricating the heat exhanger, and I just suck at welding aluminum. I would be happy to find you some links if you'd like, I've always been a fan.

A lot of the heat issues from the M90's come from guys maxing them out. 6 psi shouldn't be that bad I would think. If you are shooting for way more just go with a completely different blower like a TVS1900 or go turbo like you did. I agree that if you can fab in a cooler then do so but if you cant then he should be fine for now.

Thanks alot for the advice .
Ive read some threads over on lextreme could always read some more though but dont really have the time to sit and read all day, or would rather learn it as im going , so im just gonna do it ..
im gonna go easy man .. 6-7 psi something like that .. stock ecu ,injectors can handle to 7-8 or so ,is what i understand .. dont really plan on replacing the stock ecu.
i wish i could put in an intercooler , but honestly dont have the knowledge to incorporate one into the intake , i dont want to make it worst .
i have a couple intakes here so i dont have much money into it yet and dont mind if i do make some mistakes on it . (would rather not , buts its ok .)
im mainly doing this to have fun with it , just wanna see if i can !
then improve on it later, maybe.
thanks again !!
methanol maybe something that i use .. dont really know yet ..
anybody have ideas on how to build the intake with an intercooler , im all ears .
this is what im going for , check out this link ..

its not as sexy as Bullets but hey it will do ...
