my driver side manifold doesn't have any studs, i had to remove them to be able to remove and install the header without unbolting anything.

Wow you got a really clean engine. Yeah it's funny how you can overdo things. Just keep the engine together and slap it in there. I've seen a few swaps done with basic hand tools and horrible welding skills... but they fire up and haul a$$. These engines are so basic once you get rid of unnecessary stuff.

i don't know how well they inspect all the emissions control stuff in cali, but you may be able to get away with it?

check your IAC first to see if its working properly, and also check for vacuum leaks.
simple way to check for vac leaks is with a can of either, just spray it around the intake and if the idle changes when your spraying you've pinpointed a leak.

yea did that no leaks .. somethings not right with the iacv.. she tested out fine ,according to the fsm.

but it wont open back up , once it closes. i dont have the book with me right now but the computer relies on about 6 different signals to tell it when to open or close the iacv , or what step it should be on between 0-125 steps.. i just need to find out which one is not right , i guess.

Wow you don't mess around man! That's awesome that you got everything up and running so quick. Take a couple shots of the engine bay for us when you have a chance. Yeah the TPS has to be set on every engine if you separate it from the original computer. Glad you got it figured out so quick.
