Passed the referee!

BTW Looks like the college auto tech (the one who put the sticker on) could use a little help in putting on stickers.... Kinda like a kick in the nuts after all the time and effort that went into this project making it perfect...

Well done! And it's nice to know you passed with the driver side exhaust; the refs have told me the driver side drop is ok, but it's nice to see one actually pass.

Just call the number and make an appointment. You can take it to any ref in the state. Doesn't matter where you live. Put some stickers in your door jam and maybe he will put the carb sticker under the hood where it belongs.

i'm not from california, so help me out...
what is a referee (i'm guessing some kind of inspection?)
and what on earth is a "drivers side drop"? something to do with the exhaust?

If you swap a motor or if you are modding the motor and want it to pass smog you must bring the vehicle to a ref. Here they check everything to ensure that the swap is legal.
For this swap to most recipient vehicles have the exhaust on the driver's side, most donor vehicles that have the 3.4 motor have the exhaust on the passenger side. So people make a cross over to "drop" the exhaust on the driver's side instead of the passenger side as stock.

couldnt have said it better myself but basically the ref is a huge thorn in your side but in some ways its a good thing because i hate sitting behind an old car @ a stoplight just reeking of unburned pump gas yuck!
