1992 Toyota Truck 3.4 Swap

My 3.0 fan had a big chunk missing, so I'm still running the 3.4 fan with no shroud... but so far no problems. I probably would have ended up with a similar situation as you. That wiring just does not look like fun, so I'm very glad I had ORS do my harness! Haha, laziness won there.
Where did you find those headlights?? I have been wanting to transition to that style. I hate the sealed beams, and the LED grid lights just don't look right to me on these trucks.

Nice!! Glad to hear she is running well! Keep that 3.4 fan. I talked to a scrapper who specializes in Yotas and apparently I am not the first to blow up that fan and there is a reason Toyota changed it. I did a 1" body lift so I trimmed the rad shroud. Scrap those sealed beams --> "RAMPAGE PRODUCTS 5089927 Clear Universal Halogen Conversion Headlight Kit". I got mine on Amazon and with the non-sealed beams style you can further upgrade output with simple H4 mods or led/xenon conversion.

Next up was a coating of WoolWax (just like fluid film but thicker) it apparently self heals which I found to be pretty neat. My chassis luckily was already rust free. If you ask "why?" then you most likely are not from the northeast. I took the time to order locking hubs with the right spline count and then to remove the ADD system completely and convert the system to a manual system. This can be done with a simple hose clamp in the actuator part of the front diff.

I found the truck to pop out of second gear with the 1" body lift. I cut the shifter surround and moved the boot and plate and then 4th was affected. I almost found the sweet spot but I could tell there was a little pressure on the shifter. No sense I throwing away my syncros so I ordered a short shifter kit. I loved the fact that part of the install procedure for the short shifter kit was to grind the bushings to fit, my kind of mod! Shifts 1000% times better, most transformative mod I have done in a while (aside from the 3.4 swap )
Snap ring was being a little b%$#$ so I modified my thumb for more pushing power...

The old heart on its way to the junkyard! Despite me holding the pedal to the limit looking for a bang at the end she never seized. Could have been a decent block with a redesigned head and gasket.

I am a big fan of the Italian tune up and not babying things. If it's going to break it will, and I'd rather know sooner than later. In this light, for the trucks first drive aside from a few short drives, I went to Maine to help my sister move and rented the largest U-Haul trailer I could get. Fully loaded she will gain speed on an uphill at 80+ mph when floored!

The rear end had that typical sag seen on many Yotas so I threw in some greaseable shackles! Hell of a project getting the bushings out but when in doubt burn em out!

The swap was not a cakewalk so I figured I would protect my investment! Found this on Craigslist for around $100 and I sent him a shipping label. Little bent with no mounting brackets but that's why I own a welder and angle grinder!
Sent it off to my powder coater and it looks great! (little salt on it in the pic). I took the grinder and separated the valence from the chrome blinker section below the headlights. I then took the bracket off the valence and extended the mounting holes for the 1" body lift and re-attached it.

Here is a pic of the new front end! I also went to my friends shop and threw some 32x11.5x15 Chinese tires on her ~$500. With the 4.56 gears it is perfect. I added some Amazon fog lights ~$80 and did some Israeli tail light lenses with led reverse bulbs ~$30.

Wiring diagram
Sorry for the lack of updates, I made a few trips out west for my company (Blitzraid) to test some new KTM footpegs and the goal was to take the Yota to haul the bikes but I needed more space so I rented an Isuzu NPR (which I now want one in 4wd ). Updates below!
I left off with a video of the beast running, but before that was a nightmare of wiring. I was not able to find a whole lot of info specific to the 04 Tundra 3.4 but I figured it out for the most part. Here is a shot of the garage command station!
I would do most of the schematics at my house and then test it out the next day in the shop.
I am going to try to upload the schematics soon in digital form as a resource for anyone doing a similar YMM swap.
Modding the speedo!
