Windshield Wiper problem.
I haven't hardly used my wipers since I bought my truck 3 weeks ago, but yesterday it rained like mad. I got in my truck after work and turned the wipers on, and I noticed this loud clicking sound which almost seemed to be coming from the steering column. The wipers moved an inch than sat there. I shut them off and on multiple times, and it kept clicking when I did so. After 5 or 6 times, they finally went like normal. Once I got home I shut them off, then turned them back on, and it was doing the same clicking noise and they weren't moving unless I tried multiple times.
This morning my windishield was really dirty and when I started it up I hit the wipers once. They went right on, no clicking noise. Once I got to work, I tried them again out of curiosity, and they didnt go on at all, and no clicking noise after about 20 tries.
Obviously I will check the fuse when I get home if its not raining, but what would cause that weird clicking sound and them to only come on occasionally?
Thanks.

Might be a bad relay, those click. Possibly loose wire on the wiper switch. I would check the relay first, it should be on the interior fuse box somewhere, not sure which one though, hope this helps!

I had a similar problem a while back, without the clicking. I just took apart the wiper assembly, lubed it and it was good to go. Keep in mind, when your wipers seize like that the wiper motor is still trying to return to the 'park' position. My motor was real hot!
