CLAYBAR...use it..NOW

Hey gang. There is a thread going around about tar on paint and I was surprised how few people use claybars. It does wonders to your paint. It cleans all the impurities off you paint like you would not believe. I suggest everyone use a claybar. Ohh and don't eat yellow snow.

I second that!

Clay bar does an excellent job cleaning paint on a vehicle...

Cheers

Yeah it's great stuff. I used it once to remove some primer overspray that had landed on my truck from about 15 feet away. It took it all off no problem

ok, nm, lol, i went to their website and it explains it all there. I think ill just order from them instead of going to the store and getting another brand. Everyone seems to like them. Or does it really matter what brand of clay I use?

I've been using Griot's Claybar+clay holder+porter cable. Paint feels like a mirror after you're done. I am due for my spring wash(dishwashing detergent),clay, wax and vacumn soon.......8hrs out the door!

I use clay magic. They have two, one for light color cars and one for dark. Oh yeah, make sure you don't press too hard, and kneed frequently.

mothers or meguirs have a claybar that works well. I like a light color that way you can see the gunk being removed. Knead very often. Just fold it over a few times.

ok, so i went out and bought a mothers clay bar kit, (came with wax too). I have to say, its AMAZING. All those dots on my paint that i figured were chips or a little rust came right off. Im a believer now!! Even without the wax, the car shined like new,and felt like new!

Claybars are amazing.
If you want the biggest one though, check out Griot's, that is the one I use with the claybar holder for the Porter Cable.

I have a link to it here.

Man, my truck is way overdue for a detail job.

it never fails, i wash my truck spotless, its absolutely perfect, and the next day we have the highest pollen count yet this season, and it rains a little, creating nice little water/pollen spots all over, hahahah

also try the detailers secret!!! Its a compound called HAND GLAZE and its made by 3M. It works wonders. Gives the truck that "always wet" look. You put it on and take it off like wax!!!! It isn't wax at all though and you have to wax it afterwards... but it nice stuff!!!
