battery light

help, my battery light is on, starts up ok, battery cables are not hot, no fuses are blown, oh its a 99 3.4L any ideas ?

Check the hot terminal on the alt (engine running) with a meter. You may be starting OK now, but the alt may not be charging adequately. Rev the engine a little to see some variation in voltage. If it is staying at 12v, you are reading the batttery voltage and the alt is not charging. Just a thought...
