3VZ-E Pull & Drop In

hey iv scored a great 94, 4x4, single cab, short box, with a perfect frame and body. but with a 3VZ-E with a busted timing belt ( not worth fixing). and i have a donor truck with a great condition 3VZ-E. Im wondering if any one has a link to a good thread on pulling and dropping in of the 3VZ-E?

I don't have a link but it is a fairly simple swap... use google and the search box. there is stuff on here on pulling and dropping in but seriously just go tackle the thing. you can figure it out. just get a manual and remember to replace the transmission front seal and just pull the motor not the motor and trans. I can pull one in about 5 hours and have one in in another 10 ish but I have done it several times.

Depending on what year motor your dropping in some of the plugs might be different, but its pretty straight forward.

west_89_, he was referring to the seal around the input shaft of the transmission. You need to take off a mounting bracket inside at the rear of the bellhousing I believe. As if you were going to change the tranny input bearing... but just do the seal. They tend to leak often than many other seals, so most people recommend replacing it if the bellhousing is ever open.

Oh yeah, do the engine's rear main seal as well though.
