I also have claim bull. Although I have 200 HP and don't blow birfs all the time, and I am spooled front and rear. Its about the way you drive and a little luck. 400 HP, you will have issues, if you wheel it.

In true Yotatech fashion, this thread has turned into bash. I thought we were all just trying to wheel. This is a swap thread, the guy wants a SBC lets help him out. I dunno, I think if you don't like it, talk to the mods or shop other threads. They were putting SBC's in Toys before 22's, 3.0's or 3.4's were ever created.

If your mister OEM then good for you, don't knock if you know nothing about the subject.

A dana60 and a 14bolt will go nicely with your chevy V8 and should hold up a lot better.
You may want to look into a 1uzfe (lexus V8). It puts out good power and also gets good mileage. But either way 1tons are the way to go.

Hello there, My name is Clive and I am new here, and I hope I am not offending anyone, but I am a believer in engine and transmission swaps myself. I am from Australia and my vehicle is a 355 Holden powered 85 4 Runner, and I am using a TH700 transmission in my vehicle and I have had no trouble with it for almost 3 years now, and I do take it bush to go camping and the odd hunting trip, I have used it in the sand with really good results and so I think if anyone wants to put a bent 8 in their vehicle, like anything just do some research and everything will turn out for the better.
