350 crate motor into my 85' Yota
Ok..my question is...How much is too much power for the stock tranfer case, diff and axles? I was looking at going with an enginefactory.com Chevy 350...and either a 350 or 400 Trans. thanks

Ill post from experience. The 350/350 turbo tranny in mine works great, HOWEVER. make sure you beef up your differentials, mine just chewed a set up. I had about 8k miles on the swap, and did some wheeling. Get an extra set and keep it around man. Wouldnt be a bad idea to put beefier ones in, or go the one ton route. Also, make sure u keep LOTS of Ujoints.

what kind of wheeling do you do??? Mud? You will be fine. Rocks? Be ready to replace broken parts unless you are VERY easy on the pedal. Stock toyota axles are not made for big tires and high horsepower when lots of traction and binding occur. I'd upgrade to some custom inners (bobby longs for example) and an upgraded 23 spline T-Case to cover yourself.
