3.0 to 3.0 swap - Wiring
Hello All,
Yes I know I could have did the 3.4 swap, but time and money are not on my side, and I had in my grasp another 3.0 for VERY cheap, and it works!
I`m in the process of installing my 'new' 3.0, but I`m noticing the wiring is different.
For example the wiring from the air box seems very different. On my 91 it comes out the rear of the harness near the back of the engine, but It`s now where to be found on the new engine, and no I cannot see it is cut, it`s just not in the same location.
Same with the O2 sensor.
Anyone see this before?

The motor is from an 88 I have been told by the guy I bought it from. My truck is a 91.
So I know I need to swap the harness and injectors. Anyone have a list of sensors I have to swap also?
Cheers!
Kevin

I would definately use all the '91 sensors too keep it all stock.
Or look up your VIN and a '88 VIN for the engine and compare the sensors. And replace only the different ones.
If you send me the VIN's I can look it up in the yota EPC.

Does any one know if the oil pan in a 91 is the same in the 88 3vze?
I have all the electrical and sensors, injectors and intake changed over, including the mounts and the oil dip stick.
Just couious about the oil pan. In the parts description they are:
1988 3VZE- 12101 PAN SUB-ASSY, OIL
12101‑65010 3VZE..VN6*
1991 3VZE - 12101 PAN SUB-ASSY, OIL
12101‑65011 3VZE..VZN10*, 110, 13*..JPP
They seem pretty close and look close, but I want someone with knowledges opinion...
