22re engine swap wiring and computer
i just recently blew the engine in my 85 toyota pickup. a couple weeks back, i bought a new engine from a junk yard that came out of a 94 toyota pickup. i have pretty much everything figured out except for the wiring harness and computer. i am completely stumped. the local junkyard has a 90 toyota pickup 4x4 with manual transmission. would this computer and harness work for the 94 engine? if not then which computer and harness should i get? thanks in advance

practically every year changed a little bit on the engine harness, the harness from a 90 will most likely be too different from the 94 engine to work. The best bet is to find a harness that is from that same year and model engine. Or at least within 1 yr of it, that way you should have similar sensors, etc.
If you really cant find a harness, then you may have to take a harness from a donor truck, and all the sensors with it. then just put all the sensors into your motor.. seems like more work than its worth to use a motor that doens't have a harness with it. but you might get lucky and find a harness for that yr...
