Hello Guys!
I'm thinking a while ago to buy a Toyota Prado 2003-2009 1KD with automatic Transmission. Most of the Time the 1KD motors don't last
long time around here because of poor diesel quality. That's why it's a bit easier for me to get one with a dead engine and cost effectively because
we have more European versions/D4D.
The 1KZ-TE inter-cooled turbo is the one recommended and worldwide known as the most adapted for this swap and it's the one I'd like to install.
Now what about the automatic transmission ? After researching it come out that they might have different gearboxes. It is possible to
bold on straight away a 1KZ-TE to on a 1KD automatic transmission .What about the wiring ? how to manage it?
Do I need to to get the 1kz-te with is original automatic gearbox that cost a lot more $$$$$ than getting only the engine??
What is the easiest way to do it without spending a lot of money?
Did someone does it before . Please help me out with this swap and what I should take into account try to to this swap.
