1987 Toyta pickup. motor swap 2.4 for 4.3
So ive got a 4.3 in the back yard that runs pretty good, im planning on rebuilding it and putting it in my toyota, if its possible.
But im trying to figure out if it will A. Bolt up to my transmission, And B. Figure out how much work is going to be put into putting this motor in.
Im really happy with my 22r but id love to get a little bit more power under the hood. Someone help me out.

Theres PLENTY of info on it
Ive personally answered this same question
NO the trans wont bolt up, unless you buy a $455 bellhousing, $120 clutch disk, $195 pressure plate, $100 flywheel, and $25 slave cylinder. This is assuming you have a Toy manual trans. No options for the toy auto.

Yeah i have a Manual trans. But im afraid if i put ll that money into it, the 4.3 might just strip the little transmission...So maybe it would be better to just go out and buy and new/used 4wd transmission for a 4.3? I mean i love my 22r to death lol but if i could get a little more power that would be great.

If you were in cali I would buy the 22r and tranny off you and you'd have the money (and gaping hole) to do your 4.3 swap. Adam's right though, there are threads on here about 4.3 swaps, I've read some myself
