01 4Runner - SAS - Is my steering too flat?
Finished up my 01 4Runner 3-link SAS a few months back and have been battling a death wobble ever since. I've been through absolutely everything;
Yes, I have had someone rock the steering wheel while I poke around for movement. Nothing is loose.
The fabricator who I'm working with mentioned that he thinks my steering may be TOO flat...can anyone confirm?
- Correct toe and caster
- Check bushings on 3-link
- Check geometry on 3-link
- Raised axle-side mount on panhard bar to make it more parallel with drag link
- Replaced rubber bushings in track bar with solid joints
- Replaced tie rod ends
- Rechecked torque on trunion bearings
- Rechecked torque on wheel bearing
- Balanced tires
- etc...

Wow, I thought I replied to this before.
No way to tell if it's too flat from a pic.
What is the caster set to?
What is your toe?
Have you adjusted the steering box adjuster screw?
Do you have a steering stabilizer?
Wheels balanced?
Get us more pics of the suspenion close ups of the knuckle steering and drag links.
