Man, now I can't get that commercials song out of my head.
I think it's for Sure deodorant
What date, and time?
We were thinking about a wee bit early run and park and watch the sun rise up on Mt. Rainier at this spot:

Well, Maybe
Wife and I have been thinking about another run up to SR72 to catch the sunrise, for photo purposes. Giving some thought to an early morning run, perhaps this Saturday. It should be an absolutely stunning sight.
Corey; even if no one else wants to go that early, I sure do.
Toddski; what do you think? Early morning good for you?

I'd be interested. I could probably get ready for this weekend if I scurry around a bit. The following weekend should work too.
My CB which wasn't working last time is in a warranty repair black hole at the moment, but I have a substitute I may be able to lash up enough to find out if it works. (I'll try it in the parking lot this time!)
I've got the latest incarnation of my DIY navigation system I'd like to test out too if I can get everything ready.

How does this sound?
This weekend it was kind of a short notice.
Todd is busy for the next two weeks.
I'd like to go tomorrow, but I have a lot of crap to do, and I'll never get it done if I go.
I'd be on the PC afterwards formatting pics for a few hours, and not get the other stuff done I need to.
The following weekend is Labor Day. The hills will be crawling with campers.
How does the 7th sound?
Sundays are real hard for me to do anything, as I always have running around to do, that's why I prefer Saturdays to go.
We would like to make this an early run. I'm talking about leaving the Safeway in Enumclaw about 4:30 am
It would be nice to be parked in that spot I posted above about 5:30, and sit in some camping chairs sippin' on some morning java, and wait for the sun to come up upon the mountain and grab some beautiful pics.
Fire up a small Coleman lantern, and poslibly throw a log and fire it up in the fire pit in that spot.
This run would primarily be for that purpose as Jim and his wife and I have been thinking about this for a few weeks now since our last trip.
Then after a few pics are taken, we can explore a bit, as it will still be very early in the day.

Wrongway, you know the area up there pretty good right?
I know Paul's been itching to get up there, and Sundays work out better for him right now.
I bet he'd like that 72 to 70 loop that Jim, Trudie, and I did a few weeks ago.
Lots of side trails to explore, then it dumps you out at that pit where we were "attempting" to climb that hill from the last batch of pics I posted.
This Sunday I have to help get my youngest registered for school.

Sounds good Mark.
My ideal time to leave for a regular run is around 7 am.
Most of the time we leave safeway around 9:30 or so.
But this early run will be kind of cool to get some great mountain shots before the summer is over.
Gettin' up early is going to be hard. I have not got up that early since I was on day shift.

We may have to plan this for another time. I'd still like to get some early sunrise pics off of the mountain though before crappy weather comes.
That will be most awesome.
Greenwater is pretty good to go until the end of Oct.
It was Oct. when I ran the naches in 2000.
Did you ever get some pics of Evans Creek?
Corey
