Are these half doors worth the price?

Found these half doors for $200. Do you feel they are worth that? Let me know what you think. I figure if I made them myself I would end up spending close to that much.

How do you figure it would take $200 to make those? Junkyard doors and some canvas.

Guess it depends on your location and parts availability.

Personally I wouldn't pay $200 for those.

having just made a set of half doors I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into them. With it being sheetmetal i made several hundred spot welds on each door. I would curious to see the release mechanism and some more close ups.
it that one section 1/4" plywood or a lip to allow the vinyl cover to be inserted?

-moved to the correct section..

I called a few local junk yards they didn't have any the other junk yards around like to charge retail for everything. What would you pay for these?

Yards around here are getting 20-35 bucks a door, and on any given day you can pull a set. Heck, I've got 3 sets from trucks i've parted. Half doors are simple to make, though an "already been hacked set" would save time. No way in hell I'd pay more than $100 on the pair. And that's a far stretch if I NEEDED doors, and it was uphill both ways to work.

All I have seen is these 3 pics. I may go tomorrow and look at them. I just wanted to get a few opinions before I went.

If you dont have the ability/time to make them, I could see paying that for complete half doors with canvas.

A non rusty door around here in a yard is about 50-100 bucks...

Offer him 150, see what happens.

They make tube doors for around the same price which IMO I think are nicer, I would rather make myself some half doors just for the sake of saving money though.

i had tube doors on my '81, they were nice but I lost a few items sliding out going around the corners.
It took me about 5 hours on my first door, 2 hours on the 2nd door.
that white bottom strip is still kind of wierd..

best tube doors out there IMO:
$205 plus shipping:

ok so I got the doors they do need to some work but I can make them look real nice. The lip we couldnt figure out is for the canvas window. The bottom of the window slides in it then snaps around the top with buttons. I put them on the truck this evening so I didn't get a chance to take any pics before the sun went down.

I did manage to talk him down some. I just hit them with alittle paint. But if you have a truck with no A/c these doors are like heaven. We hit 103 here yesturday and I drove it to tow last night and it felt awesome.
