Toyota manuals on order
I'm too old to tear stuff apart to try and understand what is wrong. To that end, I ordered the actual Toyota factory repair manual and wiring diagrams for my '97. I know they cost a mint but, they will likely pay for themselves through the years.

Alot
About $180 for both with shipping. I know, I know but that is the going price for Toyota manuals. I did look for a used set with no luck. Although I did not try THAT hard (as I'm sure there will soon be links to eBay and Craigs List manuals.)
The guy I bought the truck from gave me the Haynes manual. I'm not going to say it blows but it is way too generic to be any good to me. I am way beyond needing a general purpose shade-tree greese monkey manual.

Shouldn't there be 3 books?
Book one - Repair manual (Maintenance, Preparation, Specifications, Diagnostics)
Book two - Repair manual (Engine, Chassis, Body, Electrical)
Book three - Electrical Wiring Diagram

Did not see one
The places I checked did not have Book one - Repair manual (Maintenance, Preparation, Specifications, Diagnostics) listed.
Don't care much about maintenance, prep and specs. Diags would be nice.
