i have a 1990 toyota pickup 4x4 22re i had a meltdown in the wiring harness i want to either fixx the exsisting ie splice solder and shrink wrap on can i use the wiring harness and uce out if the same year 4 runner please help i want my baby back on the road thanx

 

First, figure out WHY it melted down and fix that problem. You have a short or excessive draw somewhere. After you've fixed it you can either splice and insulate the wires, which is what i would do, or find a harness out of a same year runner with exactly the same options. Be forewarned, the wiring harnesses on our yotas are a PAIN to pull, as it's essentially one loom for the WHOLE truck. It wraps around the entire engine compartment and inside the cab. Just repair the burned spots.
