Need help identifying this piece of equipment

I found this under the dashboard on the drivers side when I pulled out the carpet, it was next to a "polk crossover" (stereo equip?) i have no idea what it is, but it was cobbled into the wiring(not stock) ideas?

Describe the number of wires exiting the unit and any labels on the unit near the wires or wire hookups.

12 wires exiting what appears to be the back. no labels there, appears to be exiting like a bundle or wire loom? other end has 2 small wires with 2 screws which look like wires could attach to them. only writing on the unit it the word "Titan"
