Advice/Help. Rheostat wiring, another dashlights question.

Okay. Since I've bought the truck, the dashlights have never worked. It also did not have the rheostat when I bought it either, PO clipped the clutch cancel switch and rheostat. I installed a new dimmer switch installed new fuses, checked wiring. Nothing, still no dash-lights or overhead light. But my Door ajar lights started working.

Can someone tell me if my wiring is correct? I figured easy, plug and play; match the wire colors. FSM shows that the connections are good, but I only have one for the 90'. Anyways here's the wiring. I'm delving in further behind the radio today as well.

Tied the wires together temporarily to see if the switch and lights would come on.

Are the clutch cancel wires?

Maybe all the bulbs are burnt out or just have been removed

The Rheostat should have 3 wires

Trying to troubleshoot wiring without the Electric Wiring Diagram for your vehicle can get real frustrating.

Toyota likes to throw curves and change wire colors between years

If the clutch safety switch is just cut and not bypassed how do you start it??

That is about the first thing to get removed on my Toyota 4X4`s
