'08 Highlander radio quit.

I have an '08 Highlander that I bought used back last December, and it now has about 63,000 miles.

A couple of days ago, I went to drive it and it wouldn't start. Dead battery. So I charged the battery. It held a charge just fine and has started up right away ever since. Keep in mind that being I have an '06 Tacoma and a Yamaha FJR1300 motorcycle I ride most of the time, so it's not uncommon for the Highlander to sit for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks at a time.

But I'd never had a problem with the battery going dead before. And how long it typically sits hasn't changed.

Anyway, after I got it going, I went to reset the clock and radio station presets. Everything worked just fine, except there's no sound coming from the radio. The radio and CD player work fine, the stations change, the CDs insert and eject, except no sound.

The display shows the volume going up and down as I turn the volume knob. When I adjust tone, fade, left/right speakers, etc, it shows that too. But still no sound.

It's like it's on mute. The display shows mute when I push the mute button, but with the mute off, still no sound.

I've disconnected the battery twice to try to see if it would reset. The second time was for about 12-15 minutes. But that didn't fix it.

Again, the radio and CD player seem to work perfect except for no sound. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there something I'm missing?
