Here is my 2nd gen. with Mog axles, H1 wheels and 40's. I believe it is the only 4Runner in the world with CTIS.

Holy moses... What happens when the rear flexes, though? Looks like the axles are so far back that the tires would go up into the body, instead of into the wheel wells (as much as they could go into the wells, with 40s).

The rig is sitting on the bump stops in the pic. It has air ride suspension so ride height is about 6" higher up. I still have to clearance the rear bumper a bit but the tires will clear nicely after that.

Turn on the key and the truck rises to ride height, hit off road mode and it goes up another inch or two. Turn the key off and the rig drops down so I can easily get in and out.

Don't know WHAT you are taking about. I have "wheeled" it onto my new trailer like 3 times!

Rocket--read your thread, thanks for the kind write up. It is a little hard to understand the direction I am heading if all you have to go on is a few pictures with it sitting on bumpstops!

I think I'm gonna have to vote for mine. Yeah, most definitly the most functional, biggest, baddest, heavy duty 4Runner out there running the trails at this time. (Well, actualy 4Mogger's axles would blow my stuff out of the water , nice rig) ...

And I have witnesses who have seen this thing wheel the Extreme trails......

Thanks for the kind words. It is nice to come up in these threads even after all this time (the original and still the greatest ). I guess I can vote for the 44Runner since it is no longer mine. It actually makes me sad to see those pictures. I miss the hell out of that truck. I am glad its gone though. It was just wasting away out here on the coast. Hopefully I will live inland again one day. Until then the buggy is coming along slowly (painfully slow) but surely and I hope to have it done come summer time although I am not sure that is a realistic goal money wise. I just want to be back on the trails. I love building, but I miss wheeling.
