Toyota tire question.

I recently got a set of toyota wheels that have different size tires on them and i was going to go buy a new set of tires for these wheels but i am not sure what size to get. Some of the wheels are 225/75 R15 and the others are 31/10.5 R15 does it matter which one I go with and on another note what tires should i get I have been looking around and i can get a set of sport king a/t's for 477 mounted etc. This truck will see mainly road use but it will have to go through some bad roads in the winter and some light offroad use in the summer. I dont want to spend a lot on these tires. Oh and the truck is a 1985 toyota xtra cab 22r

Only thing between you and the road is tires...I always buy the best I can find for the buck. You can fit a 31/10.50/15 on a stock 85 easy. There are tire converters online that show you what the metric sizes mean compared to the inches, which are obvious.

If you are in Alaska, get the best tires you can get IMO. I prefer Goodyear Wranglers, ATs or MT/Rs on all my trucks.

i had the sport kings for a long while, they would not be my first or tenth choice for where your at. they are an extremely hard compound tire which makes them last forever(aobut 90,000 miles) but terrible in snow, and rain. i just put the cooper s/t on my tacoma, and research them heavily. from what people say in areas in colorado, wash, oregon, north cali, these seem to perform better than the bfg a/t in snow,(packed or deep) which everyone swears by. i've had them and am not impressed. they suck in mud. the coopers are hands down a better tire there, but have yet to test in snow(also a stud ready tire). i paid $435 for the sport kings about 5 years ago and replaced them with bfg at's on my old taco. i just paid $550 for 245/75/16 in the cooper (4 tires) check out the cooper they may be a bit more than the sport king, but about 20% less than the bfg at. the cooper s/t is more agressive than the bfg at but not as aggressive as the mud tires. along with wabbit i looked into the mt/r but it seemed like they wore down very fast, and i drive alot. and they are $$$, but i would say to stay away from the sport king if you are in snow. if you did get them i would get the ลลลล siped out of them, they may do better then.

I'm gonna suggest cooper tire's like I always do. I say go with 31s. You might want to regear, but you can live with it. I have for 4 years.....
