I found a one hitter pot pipe in the glove box today. Have had my 4Runner over a year. There were lots of nuts and bolts in there I just never messed with but danged if I thought I checked it for stuff like that. Can not think of any enemies that would do it. Very strange.

Oh.. and I learned a few years back I can have a Ford Exploder run into me head on (I was stopped) on a snowy FS road and the Ford will bend it's frame like it slammed into a brick wall. Although my engine fan did chop up my radiator pretty good... and there's the body panels...

About a week after I replaced my fuel pump(drained the fuel and dropped the tank) in my '85 4runner I replaced the carpet and found an access pannel under the rear seat so that you dont have to drop the gas tank. I was so pissed. You live and learn but some times learning sucks.

How did that turn out? I could see it being very bad here in Arizona.

When i got my 86 4Runner two years ago i found that it was a basket case, things that didn`t work were rigged to work instead of just fixing the problem the correct way. Ive had to replace most of the interior, and lots of other things, But i like working on my 4Runner, its something i enjoy.

I found this website!
My truck needs to be wrenched on.
My truck wants to be wrenched on.
My truck was meant to be wrenched on.
Wrenching on my truck is easy because these things were built to go forever.
Its the first vehicle I have owned that I have no intention of ever selling.

I found out that even though it was the cleanest 4wd 4runner for sale in southern california, it came with a chronic overheating problem from the clogged original radiator. Sort of surprised since it came off a Toyota lot.
I found out a year after replacing the entire cooling system right after purchase, that the earlier overheating cracked one head and burnt a valve. Truck lasted 20,000 miles in this state before the head gasket went and whole top end got replaced.
Learned never to buy a vehicle without having your own mechanic check everything over. And for fooks sake, get a compression check before you sign any papers!
Learned how to do brakes after the master cylinder and calipers froze up, and the art of brake bleeding.
Learned how to load and use a grease gun after finding those zerks on the drive shafts!
I have come to understand that since my 97 4runner doesn't have "classic" or "cool" status, nobody is ever as interested in hearing about the new parts and new systems as i am.

I have owned mine 88 4runner for less then a month. Already found out that it gets crapy gas mileage, the injectors are almost impossible to get to stop leaking, there is a second door handle on the passenger seat, and that I should not waited so long to buy one!!! Go Toyota!!!
