Things I found out:
1. I can adjust the height of the butt part of my seat. AWESOME!
2. For some strange reason, the drivers unlock will only work if the truck is on. Weird.
3. I bought my truck and did not realize it was made in canada and originally sold there, so I was driving going.. it dosent feel like im doing 100 and why is everyone passing me. Took me a little to figure out on mine, the big numbers were km/h. It still confuses the hell out of my friends when they ride in it, or are blessed enough to get to drive it.

I found that its always been a truck I enjoy driving.
I found that my wife hates the truck and want me to get a new one.
I found that the shell is very heavy and takes up the garage floor.
I found that im asked if its for sale often.
I found that I went 10+ years without changing the Tranny Fluid.Just changed it.Runs Great.
I found the Yotatech community is a great source for parts, information and great pictures.
I found that I have not had a car payment since I payed the truck off in 1991.
Hopfully I will not have another payment for 17 more years.

I learned the brake calipers on the front are totally different from anything I had worked on before. Have 4 hydraulic cylinders two on each side of the rotor. That is just cool.

There is a 6 disc cd changer in the back side panel compartment that doesn't hook up to my radio - bummer. It won't fit through the compartment hole either so I leave it there taking up space.

I learned that guys look at my truck alot more when my wife is driving it than when I do. I guess I'd look more at a cute blond girl driving a lifted 4runner closer than if a guy was driving it too.. owell.

Also, I learned that my hands and arms are WAAY too big to be able to work on my 3.0 comfortably while its in the engine bay.

1)change compartment
2)key in trunk for window up an down
3)BEST FEATURE, HeadLights shut off if you have them on, park, turn off car, when you shut the door they turn off auto so you wont have a dead battery when you return. Im an idiot when it comes to remebering to turn lights off (if i have them on during day..) so this is awesome.
4)glove box wont lock
5)you can roll down everywindow in about 5-6 seconds (autosunroof, autodriver/passengerwindows, all to hold down is the 2 back windows and the trunk window.
6)sux keyless entry cant roll back up the window only down...???

4) Is it broke??

6) The back window and sunroof must be closed maually for safety reasons since auto closed anything can pinch little fingers too easily. I think the auto up front windows have a jam feature which will stopm them from closing on anything in the way.Toyota takes the responsibilty away from themselves and places it on the operator of the windows which is smart for them or people would be sueing them for their kids head jammed in a window all the time;pretty much standard procedure now for most vehicles.

I have learned that the greaser my hands get the more I like my truck, I would rather work on mine than buy something else. I hate all of that plastic under the hood on newer trucks (pretty much any brand) what are they trying to hide

4)glove box wont lock
QUOTE]

it will only lock if you have the funky looking key. i thought the same thing with my 3rd gen but i tried both keys and only one worked. do you have two keys for it? one looks like the regular yota factory larger head key and the other one looks pretty odd and has a small square head. only that one locks the glove box so that if you give someone your keys you give them the regular one and they cant get into your glove box. hope my ramblings on make sense if not i can snap some pics of the keys.

If you take off the screws on your rear wing, and lose them, you cannot buy them anywhere, except the dealership, where they are a special order item, and you have to wait 5-10 business days to receive them, and they cost almost $10 for 4 screws. So I got them off one at the junkyard.

That no matter how fast you shift or how far you push each gear in to the red zone, you still will never beat a Honda civic

I call bull, I just smoked a CRX today, and I've beaten a red spraypainted civic with a fartcan before.. For some reason everyone thinks I'm speed racer or something cause my truck is loud.. so they always rev on me and try to race me, then they get p'od when a 22 year old rustbucket covered in primer thats 18% under geared just smoked them.

On 2nd gen 4Runners, if you turn on the defrost, get out of the truck and go to the back of the truck, to those vents at the back of the rear windows, hot air is blown out. All I can think is that the those vents simply vent the cab and the same amount of air entering the cab has to leave as well, and escapes from the vent.
