Corax, .... I grabbed 2 of those from an 89 Fleetwood.... Didn't realize I had to do a relay, lol... So I hooked it up, connected, HONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNk, lol.. Stuck on. I still wanna use it, but I had NO CLUE there were four! I only found the 2, either fender well/engine bay. GREAT idea!

BTW, you inspired me to do a V6 Brake upgrade... So I watched and waited, patiently, at PYPart.... til one day, a guy with a BRAND NEW Booster and Aisin 1" Master in his 95 4Runner got SMASHED from behind and lost his baby to the PYP-Heaven! lol... I grabbed both the Master and Dual Diaphragm Booster on 50% day for 40$... But because the Master Reservoir was busted..(they puncture the top on purpose, the employees, then break it off the anchor screw, to drain the reservoir(GRRRRRRRRR! lol)... Since it was busted, he said, "Meh, 20$ for both"... ... then, when they opened the next day, grabbed the Calipers with brand new OEM Pads in them.... 24$ for the pair...", then got REALLY lucky and found another Reservoir they let me trade for, the same day, with NO HOLES IN IT! haha..... So, for the most part, aside from other 'things' I "MIGHT" need... this might end up being a 44$ V6 Brake upgrade with Brand New Top end parts and 95K Mile Calipers with New Pads.... pretty good? Honestly though, I mean it... YOUR WRITE UPS ROCK, CORAX! ALL OF THEM! I gave up trying to find T100's, as they're there about 1 every 3 months, lol... EVEN IN L.A.! I know... crazy.

Gonna be on your couple write ups ASAP to get this knocked out... Again, THANKS!

The reservoir that WAS on this Master was spotless... OTHER THAN THE HOLES they punched in it with a screwdriver to create a beer bong effect(Yeah, I guess taking the CAP OFF was too much thinking ) ... This one was dirty, but that crap wasn't running though this Master, and the fluid that came out was PRISTINE, when I drained the master at the yard... NO leaking from the back, period...

45$ or so... Does that count as a cheap mod? Maybe not.. but considering buying all new OEM Calipers/Master w/reservoir and Dual Diaphragm booster would have cost me around 1000$? lol... Not bad.

1988 rear wheel pickup. After about 300,000 miles, a radiator repair, an after market radiator, several new alternators, and several thermostats, I got tired of spilling coolant on the ground while draining the radiator to perform the maintenance, and I decided that I needed a valve instead of a plastic drain plug at the drain.

I couldn't find one online, so I made one. I found the necessary parts at the hardware: ball valve, brass pipe nipple, brass hose fitting, and some plastic tubing. I cut the pipe threads off one end of the nipple and threaded it for metric threads with a die. The hose fitting and tubing are installed when needed: the tubing goes into a plastic bottle underneath.

Alternator, you may ask? I can't get the alternator out withput removing the lower radiator hose. I would love to hear how to replace it with hose in place.

Thats pretty nifty little valve! Specially with the little hose on it... You can kinda guide it. I know last time i used the plastic drain plug....antifreezr went everywhere

Yeah, they kinda hide them. Sometimes in the very front of the fender but outside the engine bay (if that makes sense), sometimes behind the bumper cover but below the fender. Some Caddy's only came with 2 for some reason, some came with 3, - you really want all 4 notes for the full effect - don't forget to check the Buicks/Oldsmobiles and any other LARGE General Motors car. BTW, good luck getting them to fit behind the grill (if that's your plan), it took a bit of creative mounting and rotating to squeeze them in - just make sure the horn's opening is pointed down so it doesn't catch any water.

If it's not a cheap mod, it's definitely a thrifty upgrade (who says only women get excited for sales? ). Good job!

Added two led strips under the hood of 4runner didn't cost much had plenty of wire lying around and switches the leds cost me 14bucks.

P.s don't know if the picture uploaded phone is being a jerk lol

I have never removed my radiator hose to change alternator. I have always unbolted my fan shroud then rotate it. Then I wedge my alt between radiator and and lower hose straight down through the bottom. I do take skid plate off tho.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I just got done reading all 37 pages of this thread and decided to post some of my mods.

I have several cheap mods that I use all the time. The first would be the 2 Wheel Low Range without manual hubs. I'd still like to have manual hubs but for $3 I have a hard time justifying it. Here is the link to the original post.

The second is radio mount for my 2m yaesu ft2900r ham radio. I have it mounted between the seats.

Third mod is when i wired in my KC Hilites in the push bar. I guess the buying of the lights wasn't the cheap part but I use this mod alot. I live in the middle of nowhere so I use them for driving lights to watch for deer. When I wired up the switch I mounted it on the shifter so that I can operate it while my hand is on sitting of the shifter. My thumb naturally rests on the switch while i'm driving. This makes it nice for when that car comes around the corner really quick and I don't even have to take my hand off the shifter.

not really a mod, but for better windshield-wiper coverage, try this:

19" on the driver's side
17" on the passenger's side
