Single greatest mod for under 100 bucks. Hands down has to be SR5 seats. Anyone who had a bench prior to these understands all too well. Sure they don't match the truck, but I picked up this matching mint set this morning for $87 and change at the local pick-n-pull. Also, I snagged a TON of extra seat hardware from the rest of the SR5's sitting there, if you need something replaced shoot me a PM, I probably have it now.

Got one of those bench seat center consoles from Wal Mart for $30 and just put bolts down all 4 corners. Its not super sturdy but i can finally hold stuff. The lock in functional but not really practical due to how thin it is, but Im trying to figure out a way to strengthen the whole thing up.

i like the double tow hook idea but looking at my truck (95 reg cab 22re 2wd recently sas'ed) came with two tow hooks up front anyway my "cheap" (only mod so far) mod was suprisingly my sas (didnt use a kit use stock parts from a 84. cost around 300 if you include axles, steering, new brakes all around, new calipers up front, and got r150 tranny, matching tcase and drive shafts for free) not done yet but drivable

It should. Ive got a manual and I havent had any problems. The only issues was that because my hurst shifter knob kept hitting the console so i scooted it back a bit and now my seats wont fold up all the way but i hardly ever need to do that. And if you have a normal shifter knob, it fan be further up from what I did with no problem

Great read.
Looking to do a few of these mods.
Seats being the priority as the bench is a back killer and Hidden Ipod stereo leaving AM/FM radio in place.

first is my walmart seat cover, fits almost like it is a fitted cover.
next is my walmart floor console/cupholders. same color almodt as my interior, and works great for hiding my aux cord that runs under my seat to my seat cover pocket, and hides my coax cable. my cb is a 10$ mod from a friend ha. i also have the full dash led mod.

off topic but i figured you guys would like my shirts!

^^ I've got a set. Not very durable. The tabs on the sides where it laces up are easily ripped from the cover.

Here's something i started workin on about an hour ago. t only cost me about $18 for the heavy duty tarp and I had the duct tape. I wanted to make a cover that just covers my doors for when it rains since int he summer I run tube doors now. I just draped the tarp over and made it level and started cutting and folding and taping. I only have the drivers side finished now but you get the idea. and I'm gonna figure out a way to use bungees to hold the sides down onto my frame or something.

And when its all done, Im gonna get my 3" outdoor gaffers tape from work and cover all the duct tape using the least amount of pieces possible to make it look cleaner

Gonna be doing a couple coming up soon(have 2 of them, one for the front and one for the rear/outside on the trailer hitch or something/For power when the rig is zipped up to keep skeeters out!)All weather 12V Aux Outlets that will be coming off my Marine Fuse block/not the cheapest mod, so I'll not add pics of that too! lol.............

But had this done for a 20spot by a really good upholstery guy(I HATED having my arm JUST ALMOST reaching the console, so had him do this for me)....
(Oh, and the floormats in the picture; HD Mud Pocket Weather Gear something mats, ...10$ for a pair on clearance at BigLots store!)......

Then I grabbed these covers(only the driver side one is on just yet... but they're GREAT quality from BigLots, once again)... Price is shown!......

Then, yes, once again, "BigLots" cup holder hanging onto the Console(99Cents!)... LOVE IT, and even with someone sitting there it's not in the way(well, most people, hehe)..........

Then, got these speaker boxes for 10$ at Goodwill to put my 6x9's in... LOVE it, cuz when camping or whatever, I can put them on the roof and share the tunes (Can also put them wherever I want while loading up for camping, rather than smashing the ones mounted in the walls, hahaha) ............

Picked up this Hi-Lift for 25$ and painted it, etc... But the 'CHEAP MOD' was using a 21MM Impact socket(CHEAP for the set of sockets at BigLots) as a spacer/mounting apparatus for my Hi-Lift to the roll bar. Just grabbed some pick-your-part bolts I had laying around and voila, 2$ later, it's done! lol.

Then, for 4.99$ at BigLots store, I picked up this "Club" brand bike lock and locked it to my roll bar for when the top is off, camping, and TWEEKERS WANNA GRAB IT! hehehe.....

Got these Dick Cepek 8" Baja Lazer 150W'ers off my old ram before selling it(stored em for 15 years, then slapped em on with a relay and switch... Not TOO much cost in add-parts, ...and lights were FREE! LOL(8" light covers weren't free, either... but pretty cheap on Ebay! Gotta have em in CALI... it's the lawwwww, lol)....

High Quality Aluminum Cross bars off a Rodeo at Pick-Your-Part for 14$ at 50% off day! .... They will be mounted flush on my Fiberglass roof with Nut-Serts and Con-Ferr Rack on top/Con-ferr will slide back to the very rear leaving a bolt in on each side and add on leg stands to use the Con-Ferr as a Canopy, etc..... 14$ I think will be a cheap mod considering what they cost new.... (PS> the eye bolts are already taken out...they'll not be used).......

Got this 500# capacity Hitch Carrier at HF, normally 58$ on sale for 20$ with the right coupons and cuz they BLOOPED up! lol... For 20$ I consider it a GREAT cheap mod that served me really well when I needed it.........

Speaking of SoCal tweekers (scroats) my daughter has had her 98 integra stolen twice since she started attending school in Redlands last February. Hope she gets home with it next week before they steal it again.

COOL! lol... It works great, and I can put it on the window next to me, etc. .... it's MOBILE AND CHEAPO! lol. BTW, it's BIG LOTS,that cup holder, not 99 Cent only Stores, k? The socket, I'M PRETTY SURE is 21MM(reading the pic, that's what I see, I can look at it to be sure for ya).. I use the 21mm Deep socket on a 1/2" Breaker Bar as my lug wrench... but never need the 21mm shorty, ya know? (like I said, I THINK it's a 21.. pretty sure. I think even a 22 might go all the way on.. but I felt it fit tight and was fine... it hasn't budged, and I used a fixed-lock washered bolt from SOMETHING on my rig to get it fixed in place... That's why it doesn't back out, etc.)
